Our History

January 12, 2017 - FAST Credit Union celebrated the Grand Opening of FAST Café. As an active part of our community and involved with the restoration and continued revitalization of downtown Hanford, we had a vision to bring a Café downtown and we’re excited to see this come to fruition!
January 22, 2011 - FAST Credit Union celebrated the Grand Opening of FAST Plaza, the renovated old Sears building in historic downtown Hanford.
July 7, 1999 - Families And Schools Together (FAST) Federal Credit Union was
the winner of the "name your credit union" contest. The change reflects our service and commitment to not only schools,
but also to the community.

April 2, 1990 - Our Avenal branch opened in a place where all other financial institutions had closed. Another great example of people helping people.
September 16, 1985 - Our Hanford Branch is opened to fulfill the needs of our rapidly growing credit union.
1984 - Requests to become a Select Employer Group (SEG) came to offer exclusive member benefits to their employees. Pirelli Tire, formerly Armstrong Rubber, was our first SEG.
1974 - Our name is changed to Kings School Systems Federal Credit Union to better reflect
our representation to all school employees and their families.
1968 - A custom-built building is dedicated and the Credit Union had its first "real" home. The building is still used as our Lemoore branch.

December 16, 1953 - FAST started with seven members depositing $5.00 each. The office was a small garage in Lemoore. Kings County School Employees Federal Credit Union becomes federally chartered by NCUA.
